About The Spice & Tea Exchange of Asheville

Spices, Flavored Sugars, Smoked Salts, Spice Blends Handmade in small batches. Loose Leaf Teas and Accessories.

Located at 46 Haywood St #101, Asheville, NC 28801, The Spice & Tea Exchange of Asheville operates as a specialty food store serving Asheville in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under gift shop, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Asheville with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in North Carolina may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 10 am–7 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (828) 505-7348. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, spiceandtea.com.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 190 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded specialty food stores in Asheville.

Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Asheville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I love the tea selection and the customer service. It's a great place to get great teas and but also buy gifts for people. Lots of options!

This is one of the best shops in downtown Asheville! They have everything you could want from regular everyday spices to unique blends to flavored sugars to all kinds of teas. You can smell each one so you know if its something you’ll like, and they even have samples of their teas to try sometimes. We love their cute tumblers and accessories too. We always do our Christmas and birthday shopping here for gifts. There’s something for everyone!

Nice shop with a great selection of spices, flavored salts, peppers and sugars and also tea! They always have a wide variety of tea, and have samples of all to smell. They can brew you a cup of hot or iced to-go. The place smells amazing!! They do have a frequent shopper club, so if you visit often there are perks. I love their fruity green teas and they often add new flavors. Today I got, Pineapple Paradise!

If you are searching for tea and spices please take a moment and stop by this great establishment. Jill helped me get a larger supply of granulated honey to travel with. Her willingness to make it happen was definitely appreciated. Great location in downtown.

A must-stop if you’re in Asheville. They have a variety of teas, sugars, honeys, salts, spices, and gift items. You can even try a hot or iced cup of tea if your choosing if you’d like to β€œtry before you buy” or just want to treat yourself. I found plenty of different things for myself and got sampler packs to give as gifts for friends and family. Prices are fair, and the staff is friendly and helpful!
